This black-figure pelike, probably of 6th century Attic origin, is almost a carbon copy of the one displayed at Men at Work. The vase also shows naked men with their boyfriends, some making love, others courting. This time the love gift is a goat or kid and again we see the eye-to-eye gaze signifying that the love gift has worked its magic. Some men and youths are sexually aroused, and again we have the theme of the odd man out, both a celebrant and as voyeur, and we see the element of surprise. Is he surprised that the boyfriend is aroused?
