Symposium North Wall
Men partying. The man on the right is making advances to the youth with the lyre, who is declining the offer. The one in the center is casting the last of his wine into a bronze bowl (not visible), a feature of the ancient game of kottabos. The one to make the bronze ring loudest was rewarded with the sexual favors of a chosen attendant.

Fresco from the Tomb of the Diver, 475 BCE. Paestum Museum, Italy.
